A couple of my musical outlets:

• Art Jazz Trio – Three musicians getting together to have highly artistic musical conversations. Often overheard at events/locations that are trying to reach a little higher with their entertainment.
• Ryan Mauer and the Angry Fix – Singer/songwriter with depth. This group has an acoustic vibe to it, with lots of room for improvisation as well.
• standing mavis – Indie improv rock. This group may not be mainstream, but the way the music flows is something special. Heavy improvisation. Great energy.
• Jazz@John’s - The must attend annual music event hosted by Madison, WI’s wonderful Maple Grove neighborhood.
